HISTORY

Amerigo Cafferata founded Labromare in 1969 when he realized that the future to be such, would have to contemplate the protection of the environment. Initially, he organized the marine and port anti-pollution service in the Port of Livorno and later, by purchasing land vehicles, he expanded the company and added cleaning and industrial environmental remediation to the first activity.

In later years, Labromare continued to grow and to specialize with other port services such as fire fighting, the cleaning of port waterways and the cleaning and sweeping service of the docks with specialized personnel and vehicles.

In the 80s Labromare became the contractor of the solid and liquid waste collection service in the port of Livorno and acquired the company Faro Verde which in 2003 would be merged.

In 1981 it was the first company in Italy to be equipped with a solid waste treatment plant for ports installing a waste sterilization plant that later would be supported by a small bilge water treatment plant.

In 2002 Labromare was taken over by Tripnavi S.p.a. in Trieste and became part of a group that continued with investments especially in the construction and expansion of port facilities for the treatment, recovery and disposal of solid and liquid waste.

In 2004 the bilge water treatment plant was inaugurated and the selection plant in 2009, treatment and disposal of solid waste that have helped to consecrate Labromare as an Italian excellence in its field.

In 2014 an important new Corporate structure was concluded, which placed Tripmare of Trieste (which took over Tripnavi) alongside the Rimorchiatori Riuniti of Genova and with greater significance the Neri Brothers of Livorno.

At the end of 2015 Labromare transfers its registered office to its fully renovated premises, in the central Via dell'Artigianato in the Picchianti industrial area in Livorno.
